Our company’s mission is to do everything the ‘bench jeweller’ way – working on jewellery using traditional techniques blended with the best modern practices. We create local products and offer hands-on service, all while being ingrained with our local communities.
At our shops, we’re proud of the fact that our work is done by hand, by our bench jewellers at their work benches. Unlike big-box jewellery retailers, our entire business is based on custom designs unique to you, and in-house jewellery repairs done by skilled craftspeople.
Our Team
Our goldsmiths have been creating jewellery for decades. With very little retail inventory, our main focus is on custom designs and completing commissioned projects for our clients. Since we’re creating jewellery from scratch, we can tailor each piece to your personal tastes and craft something that is uniquely you.
Our History
The Journey So Far
We opened our first location in downtown Kamloops in 2013, with the goal to do things in a hands-on, more personal way. At The Bench Jewellery, we want everyone to have an enjoyable experience when coming into our stores, and experience goldsmithing work that will always be done to the highest level of quality.
After a successful launch in Kamloops, The Bench Jewellery opened a second location in the Okanagan in 2014, located in the heart of Pandosy Village in Kelowna. Our team is always busy working with our great clients in Kelowna and the surrounding communities.
In 2016 we opened our third location in the beautiful Fraser Valley in Chilliwack. As local interest in traditional goldsmithing grew, in 2022 we built a new storefront in District 1881, a neighbourhood that is revitalizing Chilliwack’s downtown.
